Rest easy, Dave Grohl devotees. You can now download the film that the Foo Fighters frontman and ex-Nirvana drummer has described as “my life’s most important work.” The 44-year-old rocker/filmmaker’s muchpublicized Sound City documentary, which focuses on the legendary recording studio of the same name, has hit the Internet. Fans who missed the flick’s movie theater debut can head over to the official Sound City website and order the Sundance feature for $12.99.

The film contains interviews with Trent Reznor, Tom Petty, Neil Young, Rick Rubin, Stevie Nicks, and many more. Anyone hoping to see some of Sound City‘s other star talent in person — specifically Rick Springfield, Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen, the remaining members of Nirvana and others — should keep an eye out for upcoming tour dates from Grohl’s Sound City Players supergroup. They’ve already announced a February 13 date at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom. Also on the way is Sound City — Real to Reel, an official album from the SCP that SPIN has dubbed one of 50 Albums You Gotta Hear in 2013. The LP, which features a cut from the Paul McCartney-fronted “Nirvana reunion,” drops on March 12 from Roswell/RCA. Whew.
