Australian keyboard-centric duo Lost Animal release their debut album Ex Tropical on January 29 via Hardly Art, and to celebrate, Jarrod Quarrell and Shags Chamberlain unveiled the LP’s second single “Lose the Baby” this morning.
Like they did on first single “Say No to Thugs,” Lost Animal once again build a rich sonic landscape for Quarrell’s oblique lyrics about golden-armed drummers and a moonless ocean. Fans of fellow Melbourne natives Cut Copy’s mellower moments will love this track. Download it over at Stereogum.
