The prospect of a collaborative album between Lady Gaga and old-time crooner Tony Bennett first surfaced last fall, but since then the Mother Monster’s name has collected pageviews by appearing alongside Kendrick Lamar, the Rolling Stones, Jack White, and Jennifer Lopez. Now, Gaga has issued a reminder that her and Bennett’s jazz record is indeed on the way.

Yesterday (January 23), the 26-year-old Born This Way star tweeted a photo of her and the 86-year-old singer performing a duet of “The Lady Is a Tramp” during a private inauguration ball the previous night. The snapshot was accompanied by text that read, “And here’s me and my handsome date, I simply cannot wait for our album together, he’s my darling!” (Lest you think she kept things normal, Gaga also shared a photo of her seated at some kind of space piano.)

The two New York natives originally teamed up for a studio version of “The Lady Is a Tramp,” which appeared on Bennett’s 2011 album, Duets II. Last October, Bennett confirmed to Billboard that the duo would be working on the double-billed LP with orchestrator/arranger Marion Evans. He wouldn’t reveal the song list, calling it “secret,” but Bennett did say the upcoming release would “really reaffirm that [Gaga is] one of the best jazz singers that anyone’s ever heard.”

Gaga’s little monsters are still waiting on ARTPOP, the currently on-tour singer’s third studio album/interactive app that SPIN recently dubbed one of 50 Albums You Gotta Hear in 2013. EDM star and ARTPOP collaborator Zedd told MTV earlier this week that there’s “a lot of work left” to be done on the record. “It’s hard to find time to work on something together,” Zedd said. “We’ve been working on it for over a year now. There’s still a lot of work left, so we’re definitely gonna work on [their ARTPOP tracks] for the next month.”
