And as we learned yesterday, she’s reuniting with her old group Destiny’s Child for a new song called “Nuclear” on an upcoming compilation titled Love Songs.
By the power of Beyoncé — or rather, multiple Us Weekly sources — the Destiny’s Child reunion will now also extend to the Super Bowl. About halfway through the 4 singer’s performances, these sources said, her former bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams will join her for a quick hits medley. The sources also predict the reformed group will perform “Nuclear.” After which, Beyoncé will use her metal powers to split the atom.
Beyoncé is also reportedly at work on a new solo album. As Rap-Up points out, Azealia Banks told a YouTube interviewer recently the New York rapper worked on a track that may or may not appear on the record. GQ reports that Beyoncé has recorded roughly 50 songs for the album. “I’ve been working with Pharrell and Timbaland and Justin Timberlake and Dream,” she’s quoted as saying. “We all started in the ’90s, when R&B was the most important genre, and we all kind of want that back: the feeling that music gave us.” Let’s hope for more details when her bio-doc airs next month.
