British comic artist Krent Able specializes in skewering pop stars. But as he tells the Stool Pigeon, one of his main outlets, he has a bit more cred than one might think: he was once a musician signed to Mute in the early '90s. His band's sound? A mix of "Ministry, Stooges, freaky noise kinda shit." Able's amazingly intricate drawings are likewise gloriously confrontational; he digs into the psyche of each of his subjects, drawing out the dark humor lurking within some of our most beloved artists. Here's a preview of his new book, Krent Able's Big Book Of Mischief, featuring everyone to Moz (on the left) to M.I.A. (More info on the book here!)
