Aesop Rock Plays Vintage Arcade Games in ‘Homemade Mummy’ Video

Aesop Rock Homemade Mummy Video

Aesop Rock’s recent Skelethon LP may cast the San Francisco cult MC as “the hip rap-dad you never had,” but the new video for macabre album standout “Homemade Mummy” finds ol’ Jabberwocky Superfly and his bros playing kiddie games at the local arcade. Aes’ Hail Mary Mallon homie Rob Sonic joins in the fun, which includes everything from Ms. Pac-Man duels to carnival-style strongman contests. We’d like to think the man was inspired by SPIN’s recent roundup,  Arcade Fire: 50 Rap Songs Based on Video Game Samples, or at least Frank Ocean’s Saturday Night Live performance. Aesop is on the road with Sonic, DJ Big Whiz, and Dark Time Sunshine.
