Hear Kindness’ Funky New Single ‘That’s Alright’

Tall and thin, with long scraggly hair, Kindness mainman Adam Bainbridge looks much more like should be making, oh, post-human garage-skronk than the loose-limbed ’80s-influenced pop-funk that’s become his specialty. “That’s Alright,” the meticulously produced and rubbery latest single from Kindness’s debut album, World, You Need A Change of Mind, conjures, in a fantastical way, a garish Reagan-era world of sharply-angled shoulder pads, pastel slacks, wine cooler sax, severe haircuts, and trying sushi for the first time. It’s a blast.
