First! He sold about 11 percent less than last week, but Lionel Richie still owns the Billboard 200 with 114,000 copies sold per Nielsen SoundScan. Nothing to see here, folks!

2 Through 10: Everyone’s favorite fedora dude Jason Mraz makes his highest-charting debut and best-selling week yet with Love is a Four Letter Word at No. 2 (102,000 copies), and Adele is knocked into third place with 90,000 copies this week for 21. Train earn their best week ever with the debut of California 27 (76,000) in No. 4 and One Direction holds steady at No. 5 (55,000), but Nicki Minaj didn’t get the sales boost her camp might’ve hoped for when she quit Twitter for an interminable nine days and takes a 40 percent hit to land at No. 6 (48,000). Gotye’s Making Mirrors keeps the dream alive at No. 7 (44,000), though who knows what, if anything, his Glee diss on Monday might cost him next week. No. 8 belongs to Future, who scores an impressively high debut for a first studio album Pluto (though he’s released bunches of mixtapes over the past two years) and who also secured SPIN’s hip-hop blogger’s rap release of the week. Bonnie Raitt’s Slipstream (35,000) and Luke Bryan’s August 2011 album Tailgates and Taglines (28,000) take the Nos. 9 and 10 slots. Raitt’s sales fell by nearly half, but she did ridiculously well with Slipstream‘s debut last week, so we’re sure she’s not too bummed about the, erm, slip.

Future Has a Past: He may be making his Billboard 200 debut, but Future already has raked in eight hits on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

Oh God, Not Again: Sorry to break the news, but over on the Hot 100, Maroon 5 has hinted that “Payphone” might unfortunately become the new “Moves Like Jagger.” The Wiz Khalifa-assisted song ironically sets a digital (payphone? digital? get it?) record this week with 493,000 downloads and comes in at No. 3 on that chart. Don’t worry, though, Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know” still holds at No. 1.
