Courtney Love Plans Suit Over Unflattering Legal Leak

In a wholly unsurprising and redundant turn of events, Courtney Love is threatening a lawsuit against whomever leaked details contained in deposition papers her daughter filed against her to addiction site the Fix and its editor, Maer Roshan. Roshan recently published an ebook about Love that highlights information from Frances Bean Cobain’s filing for a restraining order. The details, it should go without saying, are not pretty.

Love’s attorney, James Janowitz, is on the paper trail, saying that the papers, which contained Cobain’s claims that Love’s carelessness with her prescription pills had caused the death of family pets, were confidential and sealed. He added, "When I find out what happened, we will take the appropriate legal action," per Extra.

Roshan has, of course, said that everything contained in the book, called Courtney Comes Clean: The High Life and Dark Depths of Music’s Most Controversial Icon, is "absolutely true." In that statement, however, he also points out that the book gives a "nuanced and empathetic portrayal" of the Hole singer, so while he "regrets" that Love is upset, he "stands by every word."
