New Year’s Eve might be a bit of a blur, but for those of us who could use a little refresher, plenty of video has surfaced online from the turn-of-2012 festivities: good, bad, and ugly. Drake, the Roots, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, and Beyoncé delivered some of the highlights on the increasingly depressing Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, which also featured Cee Lo’s tone-deaf (in more ways than one) “Imagine” cover and Justin Bieber getting his Rob Thomas on for a Santana-backed rendition of the Beatles’ “Let It Be.” Watch the better performances below, via Consequence of Sound, and don’t forget to take a gander at Mayor Bloomberg going where Britney Spears feared to tread up top.

Away from Times Square, Coldplay performed at the behest of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi (for a reported fee of more than £1 million, or roughly $1.6 million), and Red Hot Chili Peppers rocked Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich’s bash in St. Bart’s. Meanwhile, back in the States, Kanye West DJed a party in Las Vegas, and Lil Wayne shared a stage with DMX in Miami (watch footage of both below, via Nah Right). In New York, Patti Smith’s three-night stand ended her annual year-end run at the Bowery Ballroom. One thing 2012 already has going for it: Nobody sang for a brutal Libyan dictator this year!
