Die Antwoord Give ‘Ten$ion’ February Release Date, Creepy Cover Art

South Africa’s bizarre zef-rap troupe Die Antwoord revealed today that their new disc Ten$ion, the follow-up to their 2009 breakthrough $O$, will be released on February 7.In October, SPIN previewed a handful of songs from Ninja and Yo-Landi Vi$$er’s new album, and as promised, there are skits on Ten$ion, as well as nearly a dozen tracks filled with DJ Hi-Tek’s “hardcore black African voodoo beats,” Ninja told SPIN.

After a brief fling with Interscope — Antwoord and the label split in November following a creative disagreement — the group will release Ten$ion through their new indie label ZEF Records and Good Smile. Above you’ll find the album’s horrifying, Cremaster-cribbing album cover (a still from Yo-Landi’s rumored Dragon Tattoo audition, perhaps), and below there’s the equally gross, scorpion-and-tarantula-packed music video for Ten$ion‘s first single “Fok Julle Naaiers.” As a palate cleanser, there’s also the track list and Die Antwoord’s upcoming tour dates:
