  • Courtney Love has settled a defamation lawsuit with designer Dawn Simorangkir for $430,000. The Hole singer was accused of making defamatory statements on Twitter, which Simorangkir said ruined her business, and was scheduled to go to court in late January before reaching a financial settlement.   • As they lead up to the release of their Spring album Circuital, My Morning Jacket are offering free downloads of live tracks, including performances from their five night stand at New York’s Terminal 5.   • Trent Reznor is in negotiations to score the soundtrack for a thriller movie titled Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. The Nine Inch Nails frontman is also in discussions to play the character Jack Barts, a vampire “who kills Lincoln’s mother and sets the hero on his path of righteous vengeance.” [Entertainment Weekly]
