WATCH: Cut Copy’s Sporty New Video

Australian electro rockers Cut Copy have one of 2011’s best new records so far, the impeccably cool, just-released Zonoscope, and now they’ve dropped the album’s first video, for “Need You Now.” Watch it below.

The clip, which just premiered over at Stereogum, finds the quartet performing in semi-slow-mo, surrounded by loads of different athletes, from tennis stars to speedo-clad swimmers to footballers (both American and otherwise).

Then, the jocks start mixing up all of their sports. So the hockey player’s smacking a soccer ball with a tennis racket. And a karate champ’s shooting hoops. Essentially, there’s a lot of ball-handling.

Cut Copy’s U.S. tour kicks off in late March at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival, and their NYC run has been expanded to three nights. Scroll down for complete dates.

What do you think of the “Need You Now” video? Sound off below.
