Adele Plots U.S. Tour, Sasquatch Lineup + More

  • Adele will kick off a U.S. tour in support of her new album 21 on May 12 in Washington, D.C. The 21-date trek includes a May 19 gig at New York’s Beacon Theatre and wraps June 20 at Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium. Tickets go on sale February 11, with a pre-sale starting February 9 at Adele’s official site.

  • Wilco, Death Cab for Cutie, Modest Mouse, the Decemberists, Bright Eyes, and Wolf Parade (who announced an “indefinite hiatus” last November) have been tapped to headline Washington’s Sasquatch! Music Festival from May 27-May 30. The Flaming Lips will also be performing their classic 1999 album The Soft Bulletin in its entirety. Tickets are available now through Live Nation.

  • Gary Moore – guitarist for legendary Irish hard-rockers Thin Lizzy – died February 6 at the age of 58. Moore was found dead in a hotel room while on vacation in the Estapona, Spain. The cause of death is not yet known. [BBC]
