Two is often better than one. Which is why the double-dose bill of Local Natives and Titus Andronicus, both among indie rock’s hottest newcomers, is an absolute must-see. Luckily, we brought the cameras. See video of both bands rocking out at SPIN & Ray-Ban’s exclusive Rare Finds party, below.

The event, also sponsored by mike’s HARD PUNCH® and AriZona Iced Tea, was thrown at a converted firehouse in New York City during the CMJ Music Marathon and also featured DJ set from Animal Collective’s Geologist.

Titus kicked out the jams early with “A More Perfect Union,” the rip-roaring opening track off their latest album, The Monitor, a conceptual release about the civil war.

Local Natives closed out the show with a surging performance of “Sun Hands,” a standout off their debut album, Gorilla Manor. The seven-minute-long jam slowly built to an explosion of tribal rhythms, sun-kissed Beach Boys harmonies, and reverb-y guitar riffs.
