Innerpartysystem Chat with SPIN at Voodoo Fest

Dance rock group discusses a new EP and former day jobs

During the recent Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans, artists stopped by the American Express® ZYNC ZONE, to chat with SPIN about their 2010 festival experiences and much more, among them Pennsylvania’s Innerpartysystem — watch our video interview, plus performance footage below!

The band recently signed to energy drink company Red Bull’s new label and they’re looking to drop a fresh six song EP in the beginning of 2011, according to drummer Jared Piccone.

“We didn’t do that much this year but write,” said vocalist Patrick Nissley.”We kept pretty dormant and wrote a bunch of material.”

Before manning the skins for Innerpartysystem, Piccone spent his days selling used cars, but that gig didn’t last too long.

“Things happen so fast.I was a used car salesman and all of a sudden I blink my eyes and I’m playing before Lil’ Wayne,” he said.
