Dax Riggs, the gritty ex-frontman for psych-metal act Acid Bath and acclaimed blues-rock duo deadboy & the Elephantmen, is back August 3 with his second solo album, Say Goodnight to the World. Download the first single, “No One Will Be a Stranger,” below!
Riggs delivers a taut rocker here, more akin to the desert rock of Queens of the Stone Age than the swampy blues of his 2007 album, We Sing of Only Blood or Love.
Lyrically, the song echoes the album title, imagining the human race at the end of the world. “It’s about magic, and the fact that we are all one, and are brothers and sisters of the universe who will sleep side by side in the great by and by,” Riggs explains to SPIN.com.
