Prolific singer-songwriter Mark Oliver Everett, a.k.a. “E,” and his band the Eels — the guys behind alt-radio hit with “Novocaine for the Soul” — will return August 24 with Tomorrow Morning, their third album in a year and a half.

Tomorrow Morning is the final act in a trilogy of albums, which started with 2009’s Hombre Lobo and continued with 2010’s acclaimed End Times, Everett’s “most universal work,” wrote SPIN, which finds the rocker “rasping as if a lead weight hangs from his soul.” Tomorrow Morning will arrive via E’s own label, E Works Records.

Eels — whose music is featured in film soundtracks, including Shrek the Third and Yes Man — will hit the road this summer for a lengthy world tour, which hits Europe, Australia, and Japan, before returning to the U.S. in August. Check out the complete U.S. tour itinerary below. And while you wait for new Eels music, revisit one of the band’s best songs, “That Look You Give That Guy,” off Hombre Lobo. Watch the song’s video below, featuring Top Chef hostess Padma Lakshmi.
