MGMT fleshed out their Spring plans today, adding a slew of tour dates to their already-announced appearances at this month’s Coachella festival in California, May’s Bamboozle in New Jersey and Sasquatch outside Seattle, and Chicago’s Lollapalooza in August.
Their new shows begin May 28 in San Luis Obispo, CA, and ramble through the Pacific Northwest, Southwest, and Midwest, wrapping June 20 in Milwaukee, WI. See the full itinerary below.
The band will celebrate next week’s release of their much-anticipated (and hotly-debated) new record, Congratulations, with two sold-out shows at San Francisco’s Fillmore (April 12-13) before heading down the California coast for next weekend’s Coachella fest — be sure to check SPIN.com for complete coverage of the festival.
They will also headline shows in Toronto (April 29) and Durham, NH (April 30) before playing the emo-heavy Bamboozle in New Jersey’s Meadowlands on May 2 with Weezer.
