It’s been a poorly kept secret, but now it’s official: Lady Gaga, Soundgarden, and Green Day are the confirmed headliners for Lollapalooza 2010, scheduled for August 6-8 in Chicago’s Grant Park.

The Arcade Fire, Strokes, MGMT, Phoenix, Spoon, Yeasayer, Social Distortion, Hot Chip, the National, the New Pornographers, and dozens more will also be performing at the fest, founded by Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell as a touring spectacle in 1991. This will be Lolla’s sixth year as a single-weekend event in Chicago.

The entire lineup was announced today on the festival’s website, after weeks of speculation, rumors, and a painful Wheel of Fortune-style game which revealed the lineup one letter at a time. The day-to-day schedule has not yet been released.

General admission tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster and the Lollapalooza website. A three-day pass will set you back $215.
