Live Video from Austin: Never Shout Never Unplugged!

When you’re spending four days in Austin, Texas, seeing loads of ear-pounding rock’n’roll, it’s always a pleasure to turn down the volume and see some interesting artists play in quieter, stripped-down settings. That’s what happened at the SPIN/MySpace Music Loft on 6th Street when Christofer Ingle, aka Never Shout Never, stopped by to play three unreleased songs. Watch below!

Chris’ story is quite an amazing one, if you’ve never heard it. The product of tiny Joplin, Missouri, the 19-year-old racked up millions of plays on MySpace and tens of thousands of album sales while simply recording music in his house, with no record deal. Now signed to Reprise/Sire, Ingle’s debut Never Shout Never album, What Is Love?, dropped in January, and he’s headlining the Alternative Press tour this Spring.

But new album be damned — Chris decided to play three unreleased songs for an intimate crowd at the Loft. Check out the video below of “Harmony,” “Coffee & Cigarettes,” and “On the Bright Side,” and check out nevershoutnever.com for full Never Shout Never tour dates.
