Pete Wentz has never been shy about stewarding the young bands on his Decaydance label, from Panic! at the Disco to Cobra Starship to Hey Monday. But for the Ready Set, his newest signing, Pete’s going beyond the grave, portraying a scary zombie in the band’s just-released new video — check out behind-the-scenes pictures of Wentz’s journey into the undead below!

In the clip for the dancehall-tinged “Love Like Woe,” 20-year-old Indiana native Jordan Witzigreuter — who records under the Ready Set moniker — hosts a pajama party inside a ramshackle cabin in the woods, but he’s being stalked by creepy, hoodie-wearing zombies with bright green eyes that look like the Jawas from Star Wars. Wentz plays the head zombie.

But when these googly-eyed crazies finally bust through the cabin door and capture poor Jordan, something bizarre transpires. Watch the video below and see for yourself.

Getting into zombie makeup was no big deal for Wentz when it came to supporting Witzigreuter, who, as a “regular kid from the Midwest” reminded the Fall Out Boy bassist of his own roots in suburban Chicago.

“He’s incredibly talented, can play every instrument and he has a very unique phrasing to his lyrics,” Wentz gushed to SPIN.com. “The most important part is that Jordan is passionate and believes in himself. I’m really proud to say he’s part of the Decaydance gang now.”

Also part of the gang at the video shoot: Wentz’s baby son Bronx, who watched the action unfold in a pair of noise canceling headphones while his dad donned his zombie gear.

Check out the video for “Love Like Woe” here — the single is available on iTunes now, and the new Ready Set album is due this summer. Jordan and his live band are set to play New Jersey’s Bamboozle fest in May, then they’ll head out on the Bamboozle Road show throughout May and June.
