Few things are as fun as a Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers concert. Which means lots of people will have lots of fun this summer. So warm up your vocal chords and prepare to sing along, America: Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers have announced a 38-date tour, set to kick off May 6 in Raleigh, NC.

And there’s more: Before the trek, the Gainesville, FL, rocker and his longtime backing band will release Mojo, their first album in eight years, on a yet-to-be announced date this spring!

Petty recruited a handful of musically like-minded pals to open select tour dates: Crosby, Stills & Nash, Joe Cocker, ZZ Top, Drive-By Truckers, and former SPIN cover boys My Morning Jacket.

Tickets go on sale March 8 at LiveNation.com.

Mojo drops later this spring, but fans who buy tickets online can score an advance preview — and later the entire album. Once fans purchase a ticket to the summer tour, they will receive an email download of two tracks: “First Flash Of Freedom” and “Good Enough.” Then, once the album drops, ticket-buying fans will receive a download of the whole record.

As an added bonus, ticket buyers will receive a selection of live tracks recorded during the tour, delivered after it completes in Sarasota Springs, FL, Aug. 27.
