Ukulele Lovers Unite for Beatles Marathon

The charming sound of the ukulele has inspired the second annual “Beatles: Complete on Ukulele”concert in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, this Sunday, December 8. The event promises to be an kitschy marathon of ukulele playing by amateur and professional musicians. The goal? To play the entire Beatles catalog on ukulele, over 185 songs!

The event was organized by Roger Greenawalt, a Brooklyn based record producer and uke lover, who has discovered a passionate, yet underground following for the instrument. The event is expected to draw over 3,000 ukulele players to Brooklyn Bowl.

Ukulele players are invited to arrive early, ukes in hand, at 11 A.M. for free admission, and an impromptu performance led by Greenwalt at noon to kick off the non-stop Beatles fest. Ryan Miller of Guster, Adam Green, the Pierces, are all expected to perform as well. Get more info about the event here. Don’t miss out on this fun, oddball event! Get your tickets here.
