WATCH: Panic! at the Disco Unplugged!

Oh, Panic! at the Disco, how far you’ve come. It seems like only yesterday when we saw your fresh faces for the first time at New York’s Knitting Factory in 2005, playing to a packed house of screaming fans — at 6 P.M. on a rainy school night. So, we were thrilled to have Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith stop by SPIN’s NYC office as the former SPIN cover stars embark on a brand new chapter in their career.

With founding guitarist Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker moving on to start their own band, the Young Veins, Urie and Smith are forging ahead with Panic! Their new song, “New Perspective,” is the lead track from Diablo Cody’s blood’n’guts flick, Jennifer’s Body.

Urie treated us to an acoustic version of “New Perspective,” plus a quick run through “Don’t Stop Believin’,” a classic from one of Urie’s favorite bands, Journey. “I know it sounds cheesy,” he said before playing the tune, “but I’m a cheesy guy.”

Watch the video below and tell us what you think about Brendon’s SPIN Session! To see more acoustic performances from our office, including Say Anything, Manchester Orchestra, the Gaslight Anthem, and more, click here!
