It makes sense that a rapper who goes by The Game should be an avid video gamer. His love for long-running basketball franchise NBA2K, in fact, inspired him to write a new song for the product’s latest incarnation, NBA2K10 (due Oct. 6). Check out SPIN.com’s exclusive reveal of the complete soundtrack below.

“I’ve been a beast at NBA2K for years,” The Game tells us.”I’m No.1 on the PS3 leaderboards, and I challenge anybody online to go up against me. When 2K Sports hit me to drop a new track for NBA2K10, I knew I had to do it.”

The tune is called “Champion” and joins hip-hop heavyweights like Kanye West and FloRida, alongside a healthy sprinkling of indie favorites like MGMT and Ratatat, on the 28-cut soundtrack.

Fans won’t just be able to hear the artists as they play, they’ll be able to see them, too.The Game, Kanye, Asher Roth, David Banner, and others make cameo appearances in the game, which includes versions for Xbox 360, Playstation 2 and 3, PSP, Wii and Windows computers.
