The Arctic Monkeys’ upcoming third album might be called Humbug (out Aug. 25), but the British quartet aren’t adverse to bringing cheer to their New World fanbase this fall with an expanded list of tour dates.

Tacking onto a previously announced run in August that features some small club dates festival stops at Montreal’s Osheaga, New Jersey’s All Points West, and Chicago’s Lollapalooza, the band will now hit 16 additional North American cities from mid-September through early October, beginning with a Sept. 14 date at San Diego’s Soma and wrapping Oct. 5 in Dallas, just after a stop at the Austin City Limits Festival. Also worth noting: The band’s Sept. 18 date in Portland, OR, will be a free show.

Sandwiched in between the two tour legs is the release of Humbug, half of which was produced by Queens of the Stone Age guru Josh Homme. The album’s first single, “Crying Lightning,” is available for download at iTunes.
