During "Moth Wings" Angelakos jumped on his keyboard stool as young couples cuddled to the song's lyrics of love. "This is the first time we've played a lot of these [new songs] live," he later said.

While some fans braved the wind outside to snap photos of the Statue of Liberty, a mob slammed beers and danced through Passion Pit's set -- including a group of 20-something girls in high heels, who fell each time the boat swayed.

The event was also a party of sorts for Angelakos, whose 22nd birthday is today, May 19. What, no ice cream?
