SPIN.com Premiere: Neil Young’s Road Trip

The last time we checked in with Neil Young, he was riding in the back of a limousine in his Wall Street-bashing video for “Cough Up the Bucks.” In this clip for “When World Collide,” also from his new album Fork in the Road (out April 7), Young moves to the driver’s seat — and you know what that means: ROAD TRIP!

The grainy, lo-fi video shows Young hitting the highway in his 1959 Lincoln, which runs on biodiesel and is a plug-in hybrid. As he drives, he sings the tune’s alternative fuel-concious lyrics: “Running low off the people’s fuel / Riding in something that’s really cool / On the proud highway.”
