New Tours: M. Ward, Cursive

Folky troubadour and the “him” in She & Him has unveiled a brief winter tour to celebrate the February 17 release of his sixth solo record, Hold Time. The eight-date outing will kick off February 18 in Boston, MA, and close March 7 in Portland, OR. Opening acts have not been announced, but given Ward’s impressive list of collaborators, a special guest or two are sure to pop up.

Emo heroes Cursive will take a break from recording the follow-up to 2006’s Happy Hollow this January and step out for a handful of performances. The band’s 10-date tour will kick off January 14 in Minneapolis, MN, drop into Midwest cities and New York, and conclude with a double-date in their hometown of Omaha, NE, Jan. 23-24.
