Perpetual faves here at SPIN.com HQ, Nada Surf have compiled their entire catalog into one comprehensive set, Nada Surf: 1994-2008, out this week. In addition to vinyl versions of the band’s five studio albums, a repressing of their first 7″ single, and an extensive lyric/photo book, the set includes download codes for 16 bonus tracks and b-sides, one of which, “No Quick Fix,” is available here for download.
Recorded during the band’s sessions for 2003’s Let Go, the track leans on Matthew Caws’ clean, jangly guitar riffs and a typically Nada Surfian lyrical angle on dysfunctional love: “When you’re away, I sleep all day,” Caws sings. “Nothing works and thinking hurts.”
Barsuk Records’ shop is already sold out of the set, but online retailers are still showing available stock of the limited edition set — only 1,000 were produced.
