Seminal Scottish indie-pop outfit Belle and Sebastian may still be on hiatus, but luckily for fans, indie powerhouse label Matador has announced plans to release a collection of the band’s BBC sessions for your listening pleasure, NME.com reports.
Featuring recordings made between 1996 and 2001, the aptly titled BBC Sessions is set to drop November 18 and features four highly sought-after rarities: “Shoot the Sexual Athlete,” “The Magic of a Kind Word,” “Nothing in the Silence,” and “(My Girl’s Got) Miraculous Technique.” Initial pressings of the collection will include a second disc of a 2001 Christmas concert recorded in Belfast, featuring covers of the Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun,” the Velvet Underground’s “I’m Waiting for the Man,” and Thin Lizzy’s “The Boys Are Back in Town.”
