Kings of Leon Unveil North American Tour

Who? Bible-thumping sons-of-a-preacher — plus their cousin — who formed Kings of Leon early this decade, debuting with Youth and Young Manhood in 2003 before garnering praise aplenty with their breakout set, Aha Shake Heartbreak.

What? A 24-date tour behind the Kings of Leon’s upcoming fourth record, Only By the Night (download the first album leak here!), set to kick off in New York with an album-welcoming gig at Webster Hall Sept. 23, featuring the Whigs as the opening act. From there — with the Whigs, the Stills, and We Are Scientists warming the stage on select dates — the quartet will unroll the outing proper-like Oct. 11 in Las Vegas and hit cities nationwide before concluding with hometown show in Nashville Nov. 19.

Should I Go? Yes. Only By The Night is shaping up to be a kick-ass record, as foretold by the crunchy, forward-driven rock of first album leak “Crawl.” And the Followills always put on a good show, strutting through their riff-centric rock’n’roll with ease.
