On her slinky and seductive third studio album, Sia Furler vacillates gamely between Norah Jones smoky (“Little Black Sandals,” “Day Too Soon”) and Beth Orton ambient (“Lentil,” “Playground”). At her most distinctive, though, the former vocalist for electro-soul pioneers Zero 7 is something stranger and sadder. The album’s finest moment comes on an aching version of Ray Davies’ “I Go to Sleep” that improves on the original (and the Pretenders’ cover) by rendering it as a slow-motion, piano-splashed lament.
