For the follow-up to 2007’s smash hit, Infinity on High, Fall Out Boyare looking at a sonic departure, swapping their pop-punk renderingsfor a taste of Brit-pop. “I think the one aspect we’re bringing to therecord is something Oasis did a lot, where they’d play these reallydistorted, awesome riffs, and they’d have an acoustic guitar over theentire song,” bassist Pete Wentz told”It kind of brings this great sense of melody and softness to a songthat would otherwise just totally be a rock song.” Cocaine-fueledegomania optional.

The infighting rages on; first it was that whole release date debacle, and now U-God, a constituent of New York City-based hip-hop collective the Wu-Tang Clan,is suing the outfit’s label, Wu Music Group, a subsidiary of Warner, tothe tune of $170,000 for its “failure and/or refusal to fulfill itsfinancial payment obligations” for his work on 8 Diagramsand several tours. Though possibly not how RZA intended, the Wu, well,at the very least U-God, could be set to “make mad cream this year…”[Via Pitchfork]

Acting her usual self, Björkdecided to celebrate her arrival to New Zealand, where she will performa handful of shows, by demonstrating to the local paparazzi proper atidbit of Icelandic etiquette: throwing punches and ripping clothes.[Via Pitchfork]
