Hot Pursuit Pools Quarterfinals Competitors

Chicago's Roosevelt Jenkins and the Garden State's Casual Wish round off the quarterfinal's talent pool.

The Hot Pursuit, Spin magazine and Music Nation’s online challenge in search of the next breakout rock act, has pushed the final two bands into the quarterfinals! And the week eight winners are Chicago’s genre-bending rockers Roosevelt Jenkins, which judge and Spin editor Doug Brod says have a “real Incubus fee,” and Belmar, NJ-based post-hardcore rockers Casual Wish. Both now move forward to join other victorious acts such as Victorian Halls and Raining & OK in the quarterfinals, slated to kick off Nov. 26. Check out this week’s winners’ tunes below, as well as those from other popular contestants — rapper Dameyon and electro-duo Lancaster Transit — and then head over to spin.musicnation.com and help us pick the winners in the quarterfinals!
