Tour Updates: Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Interpol

NYC garage rockers Yeah Yeah Yeahs have mapped out a handful of live dates coinciding the summertime release of their Is Is EP (available July 24th via Dress Up/Fiction). Before busting out at Chicago’s Lollapalooza, the trio will make brief stops in Midwestern cities such as Lawrence, KS and Columbia, MO. Next, Karen O and crew will venture east for an appearance at Virgin Festival. Two weeks of touring — with headlining shows New York’s Webster Hall and Philadelphia’s Electric Factory included — is capped off by a set at Boston’s Download Festival on August 18th. Yeah Yeah Yeahs tour dates:

8/1, Lawrence, KS (Granada Theatre)
8/2, Columbia, MO (The Blue Note)
8/4, Chicago, IL (Grant Park/Lollapalooza)
8/5, Baltimore, MD (Pimlico Race Track/Virgin Festival)
8/7, New York, NY (Webster Hall)
8/15, Philadelphia, PA (Electric Factory)
8/18, Mansfield, MA (Tweeter Center/Download Festival)

By the time Interpol hits the road this fall, fans will likely be belting out lyrics from their highly-anticipated third effort, Our Love to Admire (out July 10 via Capitol). After playing a handful of international and domestic dates throughout the summer, the suit and skinny-tie donning quartet will traverse the U.S. for a six week jaunt, hitting some of the nation’s most revered venues such as New York’s Madison Square Garden, Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, and Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom. This recently announced live leg will close on October 23rd at Los Angeles’ Forum before the band heads back to Europe.
