Tour Updates: Björk, New Pornographers

Björk, currently preoccupied electrifying European audiences with her new Volta tunes, will return to the other side of the pond this fall for a handful of North American performances. Now the Icelandic chanteuse, possibly with a few musical troops in tow, will hit cities such as Toronto, Detroit, and Atlanta. Plus, Björk will even roll through New York City’s Madison Square Garden Sept. 24.

In support of the band’s forthcoming record Challengers, out Aug. 21 via Matador, Canadian indie power-popsters New Pornographers have added a second leg to their previously announced fall tour. Now, following a string of West Coast dates through September, Carl Newman and crew will head east along the northern boarder, stroll through the U.S. eastern seaboard, and leap south for a handful of gigs before capping with a pair of appearances in Kansas and Colorado.
