Tour Updates: Arctic Monkeys, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists

Arctic Monkeys return to North America. Ted Leo and the Pharmacists map additional fall gigs.

For the umpteenth time this year, Brit sensations Arctic Monkeys will cross the pond to North America for a string of performances in support of the band’s sophomore LP Favourite Worst Nightmare. Kicking off with a performance in New York City’s Central Park Sept. 5, the quartet’s 19-date outing will then hit Providence, RI and skip north of the border for a pair of shows before returning to stateside outposts like Chicago, Kansas City, and Austin. Following a handful of dates in the southwest, Arctic Monkeys will wrap with a jaunt up the West Coast from Los Angeles to Vancouver.

Washington, DC-based politico punk icon Ted Leo and his band of instrument wielding Pharmacists have added an assortment of fall gigs to the band’s previously announced tour. Now, following a string of dates up and down the eastern U.S., Ted Leo and crew will stroll through Brooklyn, comprehensively cover California, and prescribe Canadian fans a healthy dose of Living with the Living, the outfit’s latest album, which dropped this past March.
