Tour Update: Kings of Leon

Apparently Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill’s imminent matrimony and his brother and band frontman Caleb Followill’s objections have yet to derail the quartet’s support of their latest record, Because of the Times, for the band has just announced a second tour leg set to deliver their southern-tinged rock to fans nationwide. Kicking off with a pair of shows at Minneapolis’ First Avenue venue, the 21-date jaunt, toting openers Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, will then hit Chicago’s Lollapalooza before breaking for one month. Next, on Sept. 2 at Seattle’s Bumbershoot Festival, Kings of Leon will return to the stage before heading south along the West Coast and into the southwest, hitting cities like Las Vegas, Tempe, and Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The band will then perform an assortment of shows throughout the eastern seaboard, head to Nashville for a hometown appearance, and wrap with a performance at the Big Easy’s Voodoo Music Experience.
