Sea Wolf to Drop ‘Leaves in the River’

Sea Wolf, the moniker of Alex Brown Church and his somber, guitar-centric songs, will shed upon the musical landscape this fall with the Sept. 25 release of Leaves in the River, Sea Wolf’s debut LP out courtesy of the Dangerbird imprint. The fresh album, much like his debut EP Get to the River Before it Runs too Low, was recorded alongside veteran Seattle producer Phil Ek (Modest Mouse, Band of Horses, the Shins) and offers cello string arrangements. Jacquire King (Tom Waits) also joined the sessions to offer a hand in mixing Leaves in the River. In addition, Brown Church breathes new life into “You’re a Wolf,” the lead track from Sea Wolf’s EP, which reappears on the new long-player with fresh instrumentations. Fans can catch Sea Wolf on tour this summer performing solo and also logging dates alongside the Silversun Pickups.
