Tour Updates: Modest Mouse, Peter Bjorn and John

Modest Mouse, along with new deck hand seminal guitarist Johnny Marr, will sail their Ship across North America this summer, kicking off with a voyage through Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre Aug. 1. From there, the band and openers Band of Horses and Love as Laughter will navigate the open landscapes of Middle America, stopping through Kansas City and Chicago before coming ashore at New York City’s Coney Island. Next, following shows in cities such as Philadelphia, Cleveland, and Nashville, Modest Mouse will return the West Coast or a pair of gigs. Although details have yet-to-be announced, additional dates throughout September will soon be announced.

Whistlin’ Swedes Peter Bjorn and John have appended 12 dates to their previously announced summer tour. Now, the band will hit stages in eastern cities like New York and Boston before pleasing Canadian-based “Young Folks” with a pair of shows north of the border. From there, PB&J will hit Atlanta, Austin, Portland, and Seattle, among others, and cap with a gig in Minneapolis Sept. 24.
