Tour Updates: Built to Spill, Múm

Boise-based indie rockers Built to Spill have mapped a second leg to the band’s previously announced tour behind 2006’s You in Reverse. Now, following numerous dates throughout the summer and a break from the road during August, frontman Doug Martsch and crew will resurrect their hard touring guises in September and hit western outposts such as Boulder, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles as well as Portland, San Francisco, and Vancouver, B.C. Built to Spill will cap their exhausting outing with a three-night stand at Seattle’s Showbox venue.

Icelandic electronic pop experimentalists Múm will emerge from their frozen homeland this fall for a North American outing behind the band’s fourth album to date, Go Go Smear the Poison Ivy, out Sept. 25 via Fatcat. The 16-date outing, set to kick off Oct. 23 in Solana Beach, CA, will lead the eclectic outfit through an assortment of metropolises including Los Angeles, Seattle, Toronto, Chicago, and Atlanta. The band will conclude with a two-night performance during New York City’s Wordless Music Series.
