Tour Updates: Tegan and Sara, Horrors

Canadian-born sister act Tegan and Sara have announced a 16-date tour behind the release of The Con, the girls’ fifth studio effort, due July 24 via Vapor/Sanctuary. Kicking off with a pair of gigs July 14-15 in Victoria, B.C., the jaunt will then lead Tegan and Sara down the West Coast, where the duo will log two and three night residencies in cities such as Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Next, the sisters will skip east and perform in metropolises like New York, Boston, and Philadelphia before concluding with appearances in inland outposts Detroit and Chicago.

Although forced to cancel a previous outing opening for Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, goth-tinged punk quintet the Horrors have now rescheduled the band’s summer tour regiment, now set to commence June 4 with a gig at Brooklyn’s Luna Lounge. From there, the big-haired Brits will bounce about the East Coast, gigging in Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., before heading north of the border for a handful of performances. Finally, following a string of appearances in midwestern cities, the Horrors will ascend the West Coast from Los Angeles to Seattle.
