Tour Updates: Snow Patrol, Albert Hammond Jr.

Spider-Man 3 contributing indie rockers Snow Patrol have announced a 12-date tour of North America, set to kick off July 17 in Santa Barbara, CA, following the band’s Live Earth appearance in London July 7. From there the Scot-based quintet will hit assorted Southwestern and Midwestern cities such as Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Kansas City. Next, Snow Patrol will head north, perform in cities like Chicago and Indianapolis, and conclude with a gig at Toronto’s Molson Amphitheatre Aug. 8.

Albert Hammond Jr., the puffy haired axeman on leave from downtown quintet the Strokes, has confirmed a handful of additional dates to his previously announced tour supporting debut solo outing, Yours to Keep. Now, following an 11-date jaunt across the U.S., Hammond will perform, according to his website, a pair of gigs in north of the border metropolises Toronto and Montreal. Next, Pitchfork reports the ragamuffin rocker will hit Northampton, MA, Bruce Springsteen-famed venue Stone Pony in Ashbury Park, NJ, and New York City’s Webster Hall before leaping across the pond for a lengthy string of performances.
