Madonna Pens Tune for Live Earth

In her efforts to combat global warming alongside the 24-hour, seven-continent Live Earth concert series, Madonna has teamed with knob-twister extraordinaire Pharrell Williams for a new tune titled “Hey You,” which is available now as a free MP3 download to the first one million users via Microsoft’s home page, www.msn.com. In addition, for each of the first million free downloads, Microsoft will donate $0.25 to the Alliance for Climate Protection.

Furthermore, on July 7, Madge will join Red Hot Chili Peppers, Genesis, Beastie Boys, and yes, even the reunited Spinal Tap, for the London installment of Live Earth at Wembley Stadium and perform her new tune “Hey You.” “The early release of ‘Hey You’ is an incredible boost to our efforts to get people engaged in the environmental cause,” Live Earth Founder Kevin Wall said in a statement. “We are thrilled that Madonna donated her art to Live Earth and is a part of this movement for us.”
