Earlimart have announced the release date of Mentor Tormentor, the band’s follow up to 2004’s acclaimed full-length Treble & Tremble, due Aug. 21 via Earlimart’s own Majordomo imprint. The new effort, as with their previous four albums, was recorded in the band’s studio, nicknamed the Ship, in Eagle Rock, CA. Again, Earlimart’s Aaron Espinoza manned production duties while Dave Trumfio (Wilco, OK Go, The Adored) tackled Mentor Tormentor‘s mixing responsibilities. The fresh 15-track album will mark the first release for the Majordomo imprint, a creatively liberal label spearheaded by Earlimart and retro pop entertainment company Shout! Factory, which will sign and produce additional akin acts.
