Tour Updates: They Might Be Giants, Sage Francis

Alternative geek rockers John Linnell and John Flansburgh, a.k.a. They Might Be Giants, have announced a nine-date U.S. tour to preview tunes from The Else, the band’s Dust Bros.-produced record slated for release this summer. The outing will commence with a show in Newmarket, NH May 3, then lead through assorted New England cities. From there, the duo will hit Pittsburgh, Asbury Park, NJ and New York City before skipping west for shows in Las Vegas and San Diego.

Before logging summer performances with Rage Against the Machine, the Wu-Tang Clan, and Nas on the Rock the Bells tour, Rhode Island-based slam poet and rapper Sage Francis will head out on the road for a 39-date tour of the U.S. in support of his sophomore effort Human the Death Dance out May 8 via Epitaph. Kicking off with a pair of performances in Boston May 23 & 24, the tour will then lead throughout the Eastern seaboard, head south hitting cities like Atlanta, Orlando, and New Orleans and weave through the Southwest. Next, Sage Francis will ascend the West Coast then turn back east, stopping in cities like Denver, Omaha, and Chicago.
