Touch and Go Goes Digital

In the latest chapter in music’s ever evolving consumption platform, Touch and Go, the Chicago-based independent label behind releases from Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, CocoRosie, Black Heart Procession, Calexico, and Pinback, among others, has confirmed plans to launch a digital download store this June, Billboard.com reports. The forthcoming vendor will make the label’s entire catalogue available as both song and album downloads in non-DRM formats at the same price as iTunes, $0.99 and $9.99 respectively. In addition, the Touch & Go online store will be the sole outlet offering material from Big Black, Rapeman, and Shellac, all bands from Windy City native and renowned musician/producer Steve Albini.
