It appears Rage Against the Machine’s imminent summer reunion has stirred Tom Morello and Zach de la Rocha’s shared passion for human rights, uniting the duo ahead of schedule for a performance this Saturday (April 14) in Chicago to support a group fighting for living wages for Native American farm workers. The performance, Morello and de la Rocha’s first appearance together in seven years, was originally billed as a solo gig for Morello to perform under his Nightwatchman moniker.
Morello will now be joined by de la Rocha for an acoustic set during a rally for the Coalition of Immokalee Workers outside of a McDonald’s on Chicago’s North Side this Saturday at 2:30 P.M. But now, according to a source within the CIW, the performance may be moved to the House of Blues venue if harsh winter conditions persist.
